Then move to 4-5 hrs morning sun or 2-3 hrs evening sun. Increase over a week.

10 inch pot - 1-2 plants per pot
Transplant Mix: 4 cups soil/cocopeat + 4 cups vermicompost + 1 cup bone meal or wood ash
That's a 1 : 1 : 0.25 ratio. Mix well, fill pot, water, then transplant.

Watering: Let the top inch dry, then soak well. Let it dry back between waterings - soggy roots rot fast.

Flowers in about 12-16 weeks from sowing.

If lower leaves turn yellow, it’s hungry - top-dress with a handful of vermicompost
Needs long sunny days (14+ hrs of light) to start blooming
If leaves turn reddish-purple, it’s cold-stressed - move to a warmer spot
Remember

Yellow leaves = feed me. Purple leaves = warm me up.

About this seed

Rudbeckia Toto is a genetically compact Black-Eyed Susan bred specifically for pot and border use. Unlike the tall, rangy rudbeckias that flop over, Toto stays at a tidy 23 cm tall with an 28 cm spread, producing an abundance of bright, cheerful 5 cm flowers with the classic dark cone centre. Native to North America, rudbeckias are extremely tough plants that attract butterflies and bees. Toto blooms early and continuously, and because it's genetically compact, no growth regulators are needed. Day length above 14 hours initiates flowering.
